Yenepoya PU College, organised an orientation programme for the newly admitted students of I PUC on 20th June, 2022 for Science students and on 21st June, 2022 for Commerce students. The programme commenced with invoking the blessings of the Almighty by the college choir accompanied by Mr Stalin D’souza from the Music Department. Mr Niketh Shetty from the Department of Kannada welcomed the gathering. The overview of activities happening in the campus for the academic year was briefly put forward to the gathering by Mrs Seema M.K, the Coordinator of Competitive Exams and by Mr Melwin Felix, the Dean of Commerce Department. Principal of Yenepoya PU College, Mr Uzwal Menezes addressed the gathering and also introduced the Management and faculty members of Science and Commerce Department. He also highlighted the drastic growth of the students both physically and mentally in the next two years and explained about the measures we are going to take with respect to discipline and academic performance of the student. Mrs Nidhi S., the Student Welfare Officer thanked the gathering and the team behind the success of the orientation programme and also gave a brief insight about importance and the execution of Women Cell to the students.
Campus Coordinator, Mrs Yvette Pereira, Dean of Science, Mr Purushothama K, Administrative Officer Mr Nithesh Kumar, members of the programme committee, teaching and non – teaching staff were also present for the programme.
Ms Zainaba Hufaiza, Ms Amena Naseer and Ms Ayshath Ashiqa compered the programme.
